Can you put lumber and wood scraps in a dumpster?

Short answer: Yes. Untreated lumber and plywood are standard dumpster debris.

Why

Bagster and Dumpsters.com both accept lumber and plywood. Massachusetts bans wood from landfills, and North Carolina bans wooden pallets from landfills (NERC 2020).

Salvage usable lumber, or use a wood recycler where one exists.
